This could be awesome. Lexus is working on a real hoverboard. At least, that’s what they’re claiming in their latest video (below). Unlike the hoaxes we’ve seen in the past, this seems to be a legit attempt, if nothing else, at creating a real live working hoverboard.
Obviously, if it ever happens the day you can buy one will be a good ways off, but just seeing this video gets me excited. I don’t think you can watch Back to the Future 2 without desperately wanting a hoverboard. Until now, the tech just hasn’t been there, but the liquid nitrogen cooled superconductors and permanent magnets they sound like a good start and make for an awesome look.
