From reading our news feed, you might be inclined to think Australia is literally overrun with deadly spiders and snakes. Well, that’s partially true… but did we mention they have a slight dinosaur problem as well? Okay, so it’s not a real problem, but that’s not what the victims of this vicious video prank thought when this ravenous raptor lunged at them on the way to their parking spaces.
In a stunt they call "Jurassic Carpark,” popular Aussie radio hosts Hamish Blake & Andy Lee hired a performer to don an ultra-realistic velociraptor suit — the kind that’s been popping up in lots of viral prank videos lately — then concealed themselves and their cameras while waiting for potential human prey to come along. You know, if anthropologists ever wanted to do a "fight-or-flight” response study, I think this would be the most awesome way ever to conduct it. Knowing perfectly well that dinosaurs have been extinct for millions of years, people still involuntarily react as if a real predator was after them… and their next instinctive reaction is to usually to burst out in hysterical laughter. source
